About Me
- Wei-Jue Huang
- Clemson, SC
- I am a first year doctoral student in the department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism Management at Clemson University, with an emphasis on travel and tourism. I received my M.S. degree in Recreation, Sport & Tourism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My research interest is more related to the social and cultural aspects of tourism and tourist experience. The topic of my thesis research was on website images and representations of Washington, DC as both the national capital and a tourist destination. Recently I’m also working on a paper about “the tourist gaze” in the documentary film Cannibal Tours.
